Its about 14 miles from Shalimar to Emerald Coast Coffee if we stay on Hwy 20 through Niceville. Let’s all meet at the bagel shop at 6:30 so we will be in Bluewater for the 7:30 ride start. Sunrise is 6:11 so no need for tail lights.
I agree with Paul that this will make it about a 75 mile ride.

If you want more miles this weekend, a number of us will be adding some extra miles with this:
Leaving/finishing from Shalimar would make it 73 miles.
We could finish across the island, instead of going back to Bluewater Bay.
Leave from the Bagel Shop in Shalimar at 6:00am. 17.5 miles at 19mph avg = 55 minutes to Bluewater Bay for the start at 7am.

The 40 mile option is a ride with the group all the way to Freeport and then, instead of turning on Hwy 331, to just turn around and go back to Bluewater. We normally stop at the gas station at the corner of Hwys 20 and 331 and this is the place to turn around after the water break.

Yes, you can still ride the Saturday ride if you don’t have a club jersey. The Sunday morning ride on Ranger Camp Road usually starts around 7am but it is not an ECC sponsored ride.

Anna, Having the Club Jersey is never a requirement to join the club rides. It seems most of us forget our jersey’s anyway. Go figure. As it stands, The only official club rides are on Saturdays. I don’t know why? Other than maybe for Insurnace coverage. BUT you can get into a group ride on Tuesday & Thursday at 4:30pm on RCR. The Saturday morning club ride. And the Sunday morning RCR group that likes to go out around 7am.
